Hill House
800 sf expansion and remodel of a bungalow in Willow Glen. This is the Osborne’s former residence. The design focused on keeping the character of the original house intact. Walls in the original, cramped kitchen and dining room were removed to provide light and views to the street through the living room’s picture window. The 1952 Wedgewood gas stove, original to the house, became the focal point of the kitchen. The original white oak floors were repaired and refinished, and matching flooring continued throughout the addition. Thoughtful design was critical in the back yard, where space was limited. Oz Design and Build created a layout with carefully designed areas that comfortably fit a dining area, seating area, kids’ play area, dog run, spa and vegetable garden all into one efficient space.
